Upper arm

  1. With the subject's arm flexed at 90 degrees, locate the midpoint between the top of the shoulder and the tip of the elbow.

  1. With the arm flexed and tightened, take the girth around the midpoint.

  1. When measuring do not wrap the tape too tightly, apply enough pressure that there is a slight indentation in the muscle. The measurement is taken in centimetres.
  1. Measure and record the circumference of both arms.
