Preparations for use

  1. Wrap the cuff securely in such a way that the tab of the cuff is positioned about 1 - 2 cm above the elbow joint of the inner left arm.

  1. Place your arm on a table or support (towels, etc) with the palm facing upward so that the tab of the cuff is placed at the same level as your heart.

Important

When the blood pressure is measured with the arm in such a position that the tab is higher than the heart, the reading given will be lower than the actual value. When measured with the arm in a position lower than the heart, the reading given will be higher than the actual value.
