Test Protocol for Lung Volume

  1. Set the end of mouthpiece into nozzle.
  1. Confirm that indicator points at zero. If it does not, adjust it by moving the upper outer ring to the right or left.
  1. Inhale deeply, stretching the body upwards.

  1. When the lungs are full, set the mouthpiece between lips. Breathe out strongly in one motion, without leaking, until all air has been expelled.

  1. After breathing out, read the measurement on the indicator.
  1. Repeat 3 times. The maximum value of the 3 measurements is your lung capacity.
