Interpretation of results

  • Today, over 10 million pounds of excess fat are being carried on the bodies of British people!
  • Around 65% of women and 30% of men are currently trying to lose weight (or more correctly, lose FAT).

A certain amount of body fat is needed for protection of internal organs, insulation and long-term energy storage, but excess body fat really can be a distinct health hazard.

The table below shows the recommended % levels of body fat for certain sports.
