Reserving your place

Places are limited therefore booking is essential. Click here to complete a seminar reservation form.

Each Scottish further education institution is entitled to one free place on a seminar up to the point the seminar is full. Additional members of staff may request to be added to a waiting list. If space remains 2 weeks prior to the seminar, places will be allocated to names on the waiting list on a first-come first-served basis.

Fee information for non-FE staff
If you would like to attend a “face to face” seminar but do not currently work in the Scottish FE sector, the fee to attend is £70. There is no fee to attend an online webinar.

Interested in hosting a BRITE Seminar?

Please get in touch if you would like to host a BRITE seminar in your institution. Where places on the seminar are made available to staff from other institutions, delivery of training is free of charge and 6 free places on the seminar will be reserved for staff working at the host institution. All we ask is that you provide a suitable training room and refreshments for trainers and attendees.

Should an institution or organisation wish BRITE to deliver a seminar exclusively for its staff, a fee and payment of BRITE staff travel expenses applies. Contact us to discuss your training needs.

Members of the BRITE Equipment Loan Bank are reminded that membership now includes a free half day of training on assistive technology (BRITE staff travel expenses payable).

What the participants have said:

“I think this will be a fantastic asset, both for me and my students. I’ve already formulated ideas for next year.”
Teaching and Learning in a Creative Classroom

“It’s really good to have the opportunity to learn about new technologies from the experts and see what is changing and improving. Any information on changes, updates and new technology and other enabling equipment is relevant so we know what is available to support our students.”
Needs Assessors’ Assistive Technology Day

“I see the Cognitive Behaviour Approach being of particular use with very vulnerable students. The most useful aspects of the training were changing unhelpful thought behaviour, and learning and discussing useful interventions. I intend to develop a toolkit of intervention materials to use with my students.”
Living Life to the Full

“A well-presented and informative event. It was interesting to sample latest versions of software.”
